WRC Belgium - bittersweet

We can say this time and time again - there is so much more to racing than winning!

Last weekend in Belgium our VW Polo Crew Nikolay Gryazin and Konstantin Aleksandrov took part in Renties Ypres Rally Belgium in WRC2 class. 

The gut feeling was that this race is going to be great - complicated, but great. The team, the drivers, the engineers were ready to race. 

However, our hopes for a smooth rally went down quickly as the Polo Crew got stuck in a ditch pretty early on the first day! 

The car, fortunately, was not in a bad condition and could be repaired for Saturday where the crew was competing in Superrally!

Saturday came with many stage wins and Sunday only had one minor technical problem, that led to a very slow finishing stage. 

In the end, the crew stood on the podium and received 2nd place in WRC2 in Renties Ypres Rally Belgium 2021. 

All in all, this was a good experience and up next we have Rally of Gods in Greece! September 9-12.
