Poland welcomed our team this weekend with open, yet fairly sanitized, hands and wild race tracks!
This was Baja weekend - and we came prepared after a long period of absolute silence in this discipline.
As it turns out - we came prepared! Our CanAm crew V.Gryazin and O.Uperenko took first place in their T3 category and 6th place overall.
Dakar squads manager A.Priednieks: "We are returning home with a victory in a World Championship series in Cross-country racing. This was the first rally for us in a long time and our main goal was to get first-hand knowledge on the car since it has been improved by our engineers and mechanics in the workshop during this quiet period. The car has become much more durable and lighter. This testing task was given to our crew V.Gryazin and O.Uperenko. They already participated with our team in one of the Championship stages in Russia - Northern Firest Baja. In very difficult conditions this crew showed great results and finished first in their class and 6th overall fighting with Toyota and Mini factory cars - that are, as you can imagine, prepared and built with great experience and funding. We will take all of the experience we gained in Poland and will put it toward perfecting the car and reaching teams goals. Next stage will be held in Portugal in November. We will eb ready! "
