Critérium des Cévennes rally - Gryazin vs Wall

29.10.2018

This weekend CritĂ©rium des CĂ©vennes rally was held in France and on the starting line there approximately 100 crews. Between these crews, there were many very strong tarmac drivers and one of them was one of our own - Nikolay Gryazin. Newly crowned ERC Junior U28 champion was ready to race.

After the first day, Huans Bonato was in the lead and only 10 seconds behind him was B. Bouffier, but 12 seconds behind was Gryazin. In the 5th stage of the second day, Bouffier punctured his wheel and feel down to the 7th place. Meanwhile, Gryazin settled into the 2nd place.

Before the final stage, Gryazin was in the second place losing 39 seconds to the first place and Giordano Quentin was only 10 seconds behind Gryazin.

Unfortunatly, in the final stage, Gryazin suffered a crash and was forced to finish his race. The driver himself said: "I was driving with a speed of about 60km/h and crashed into a masonry wall that crumbled after the impact. I must say that I lost concentration and that is why this crash occurred. "

Never the less the crew got an amazing experience because during these two days they drove more than 180 ss km.

This was not the last start for the crew this year. We will see them up and running again at the end of November in Rallye du Var - final French championship stage.

After this, the crew will have some much-deserved rest, but not for long because when winter strikes they will start training for the upcoming season. The plan for next year is to compete in at least two ERC stages and multiple WRC2 stages.

Stay tooned!
